Converting from Access97 to Access2002

When I try to open an Access97 database in Access2002, I
immediately get the following message:

"Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Has anyone seen this type of error before?

George,

Thanks, yes the application still works in MS Access 97.
I've tried doing a compact and repair before opening the
database in Access 2002, but I still get the same error.

The DB size is 28MB.

Try importing all the objects into a new MDB. Compacting only really
examines and fixes problems in tables, indexes and relationships.
Importing is used to see if there are any problems in queries, forms,
reports, macros and modules.
