Converting from trial version

I recently purchased the product key to activate my Office 2003 student and
teacher version. When I try to active word I get an error message stating
the computer cannot locate the file sku112.cab and cannot install. I know I
will be receiving the backup CD in a few days. Is it better to just wait and
install from the backup? I have a HP pavalion a1530n and also having trouble
installing Norton Internet security...me and computers don't get along!!
