Converting meetings to appointments

I know it's easy to convert an appointment into a meeting, but how can I do
the reverse: convert a meeting into an appointment? I'm using Outlook 2002
but am about to be upgraded.

I could be wrong but an appointment is like a meeting with no invitees. If
you remove all invitations it might get converted.

Thanks for answering, Vince, but I'm afraid that doesn't work. I don't use
meetings at all, so none of them have invitees. They just turn up as
meetings on my desktop when entered elsewhere, such as synched with my PalmOS
Tungsten T5 or Outlook Web Access. I'm trying to get rid of all the little
'heads' icons which now litter my calendar.

Hmmm, not sure but let me see if I can find anything out about sync'd
calendar items. Which Palm sync software are you using for Outlook? Since
you've got a Tungsten I'm guessing it's Palm's Outlook conduit not Chapura's
but I figured I should ask

OK, I'll have to check my wife's machine when I get home tonight since I'm
using Palm's conduit which came with my Tungsten E but she's got a Zire 21
which uses the Chapura conduit.
