Converting MID sound files to WAV format

I need to convert some small sound files in the .mid format to .wav to allow
them to be embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. I created the presentation
in Office 2008 for Mac and want to create a '97-2004 .pps show for the PC
that is as much like the original as possible. The only sound files that
work in the .pps version are .wav files, so I want to convert the .mid files
which play just fine in the Mac version into .wav files for the PC version.

Mid (or midi) is not like most audio files... since there is no audio in
them.

A midi file is an set of instructions for your sound card to play certain
instructions/notes.

So you will need a specialist convertor
see

The software called "super" (which is excellent) cannot convert a mid file
