I have numberous presentations developed in PPT 2004 that contain "objects" -- usually tables and simple drawings. These don't show up in 2008 slide: i need to doubleclick on the blue placeholder on the slide, and then the object appears, but returning to the slide, the object remain sinvisible. Do you really need to painstakingly copy these objects one by one into my 2008 presentations? Or is there some shortcut?

I have the same problem. However I dont't get any graphic by doubleclicking on the "placeholder. I have to open my old ppt's in PPT 2004.
Doesn't onyone have a suggestion.
Why is graphics produced in ppt 2004 not shown in ppt 2008.

I did eventually work this out: it turns out that you just need to doubleclick in the ppt slide to get to the object, then save the object (use Save command) before closing out and going back to the ppt slide...Very simple. Very unintuitive.
