converting Office 97 to a later version?

Hi there

I was wondering... I have Office 97 on my computer. Is
there a download I can use to update it or convert it to
Office 2000?

No. You would be required to purchase Office 2000 upgrade in one of its
different flavors (Pro, Standard) but why stop there, purchase the upgrade
to Office XP in one of its flavors instead and have the latest and greatest
(at least until the next version is shipped).
