converting powerpoint slides to MS word from color to black white?

I need assistance with a large powerpoint (240 slides) that are in color but
I would like to send them to MS Word in black and white? In the older MS word
version I was able to save the powerpoint in black and white and then
convert. Now I can't. Any one have experience with this?

You must be using either PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP) or PPT 2003.

Black and White Send to Word was removed as of PPT 2002. For workarounds,
