Converting Question

Thank you. I am running into this problem also, with a new computer and the new version of Publisher. I did not have this problem with the previous version that I used, as I was able to Select All, Copy, and then Paste into a Word document. Did Microsoft specifically change things so as to prevent people from doing this? If so, this is hardly an improvement. This will limit the usefulness of Publisher, as (for me), having to send actual paper documents is not really feasible, and not many people that I deal with have Publisher. Is there any way of a Publisher newsletter converting into Word, as I used to be able to do

Well, yes, but it's not going to be what you expect. It will not conver
your graphics and it will strip out all of your formatting. I assume yo
want to share your file with people who do not have Publisher. That bein
the case, visit http://www.mvps.org/publisher/sharing.html. (I'd sugges
using .pdf files. No muss - no fuss.

Many versions of Publisher do not comply to the Windows standard, and hence
you cannot copy and paste between some versions of Publisher and some other
programs.

It's a 2000 version, with a 2000 version of Word. I tried it again just now, and it still works just fine with the older versions. Nonetheless, I will use PDF moving forward. Thank you.
