converting tables to css

can anyone recommend a good site / book to help me convert my table
based site to css? Or shouldn't I bother ?! (Lol)

Depends on why you want to do this, I guess. If it's an academic exercise,
then definitely you should bother - there's no better time to learn CSS than
now.

One book that I found to be very clear and concise was HTML
Utopia...Designing Without Tables. You can find it at
http://www.sitepoint.com/books/css1/. Take the time to look at the sample
chapters and see if its your cup of tea.

Not exactly. That would work fine if the OP wanted to convert tables to
CSV, but not to CSS! 8)
