Converting Wintel Access .mdb files to Mac

What are the options for moving a Wintel platform's Microsoft Access
database to a Mac platform? Thanks, in advance, for any advice.

I believe they are running Access in a Windows emulator on the Mac or
completely re-writing it in a development tool that runs on the Mac.

Or leave it alone and let users run it in Windows Terminal Server.

I use Virtual PC for the MAC on Macs using Motorola processors.

I use Parallels software on Macs that have an Intel processor. Although
Boot Camp should work equally well. I prefer Parallels since it lets me
switch between the MAC and PC in one session - and if you set it up
correctly it can actually run PC programs in a window on the Mac as if
the PC program was just another Mac program.

If you want to create a database that is a cross-platform data base, you
might investigate ACIUS 4th Dimension. Last time I looked it would run
on Macs, PCs, and UNIX (if I recall correctly) boxes - that is the same
data file running simultaniously on all the three platforms.

And the learning curve for it can be fairly steep,

Two further questions --

Do you recommend any particular Windows emulator for a Mac?

Can you suggest an easy-to-use database application that is available in
both Wintel and Mac versions (so that a rewritten database could be used
by both types of platforms.

Thank you for your assistance.

Now that is an interesting idea that I hadn't thought of. Any
suggestions on tutorials on Windows Terminal Server?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Mostly, that's something an IT dept. is going to set up, unless
you're using Winconnect on a workstation, of course. It's pretty
simple to me, but I've been administering NT servers for more than a
decade. I'm not sure it's as obvious to those without that kind of
experience.
