Converting Word Perfect files?

Older versions of Word, before X, were able to read Word Perfect files. Is
that missing from Word X? Is there a feature I failed to install? How can I
convert WP files to Word files?

It's not a feature anymore.

MacLink Plus from DataViz is respected as an excellent converter for WP and
other programs that you can pay for.

Free options--I think both AbiWord and NeoOfficeJ will open WordPerfect
files okay, though I've had issues with footnotes in one of them (forget
which one).
