Conveting Files: HELP!

N

Neil

I am doing a newsletter in MS Publisher. It only saves
in a .pub file. How can I send the pages to an editor
for proofing ? Are there any other programs besides MS
Publisher that can read these files ? Why isn;t there
away to export the pages in another format ? - Neil

PS I've spent a little while looking through a few of
these newsgroups. Does anyone ever answer messages ?

I will answer the PS first - Yes, they do answer. But in the newsgroup. The
point of the group is to share information. If it's sent to you privately
the rest of us are deprived of the chance to learn as well.

As for the original question, if your editor doesn't have Publisher, you
should ask her/him what programs she/he does have. If that isn't an option
for whatever reason, sending a .pdf file is probably the best option. A .pdf
file will maintain the format and fonts.

It seems you are using Publisher 2000 or below (probably 98 or below, by the
sound of it)
Publisher 2000 introduced text export (IIRC - I don't have it here), 2002
introduced Image Export.
Publisher 2003 introduced High-res Image Export.

Yes - replies can be viewed by clicking the [+] sign next to messages.
