coordinates

ok so i have this curve that follows no continual function..for random x
coordinates, how do i get the corresponding y coordinate?

(first time excel user, in case my question sounds incredibly stupid)

Hi anna m,

Try using simple linear interpolation. Note that it may not be appropriate
for your data, you will have to be the judge of that.

Hi,

You might play around with the Chart's built in trend lines and ask Excel to
display the equation it comes up with on the chart. On the chart select the
series and choose Chart, Add Trendline and go from there.
