Copied project with Actuals into new project (so have invalid actu

We use MS Project Professional 2003 and PWA for recording actuals in Project
Server.

A manager copied an existing plan that contained actuals, and published the
copied plan onto server. When prompted to synch actuals, he did.

Unfortunately, he now has Actual Work Protected locked into the new plan,
even though no actuals have ever been recorded/approved for this particular
plan.

How do I fix this?

Many thanks

Hi Nicola,
Presumably what the PM wanted to do was copy the project tasks etc and not
the assignments.

So, this time, copy the cells only (do not highlight the whole row by
clicking on the ID column, this copies all info), and paste that into the new
project. Make sure the view in both projects is the same colums are shown in
each project. Basically this copies the textual info that you can see for
each task, and no underlying information. You can keep resource assignments
and links this way, as long as those columns are showing.

Then, delete the old project. (in fact, I would remove all resources
assignments 1st, publish, and then delete the project via the admin page)
