Copy A Chart

I have a chart that is formatted just exactly the way I want it. I
want to take that chart and copy it to another chart and simply change
the data block to another set of data. The instructions say to
"select" the original chart and paste it into a newly created blank
chart page.

I can create the blank page. I can change the data block. I cannot
seem to be able to SELECT the original chart for pasting. Click and
drag don't seem to do it. CTRL-A doesn't seem to do it. Nothing I
try selects the original chart.

Excel 2010. Windows 7. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jim

Works for me..

Select original chart with left click
Right click chart and select "copy"
Go to new page
Right click and select "paste"
Chart appears but data is from original page
Right click new chart and "select data"
Edit data to refer to the new page.

I would suggest you save the format and layout of your existing chart
and add that to your list of User Defined charts.

Excel Help can assist you with this task.
