Copy and Paste from Web with data

Anyone could suggest me a tournaround for this problem

When copying & paste from the web, some information with data, these data will appear distorted in Excel 2002. This doesn't happen in Excel 2000

Example

6/11/03 will be converted to: 2006-11-0
11/26/03 will be converted to: '11/26/0
2/12/04 will be converted to: 2002-12-0

It seems that Excel assumes dates on format: yy/mm/dd and when not available (like 11/26/02), converts to text

How can we turnaround this "automatic" date format conversion
