Copy and Paste Issue

I have several users who are getting this isse. Whenever they are in certain
spread sheets and want to do a copy paste funtion the My Documents dialog box
opens referencing a XLS sheet that is no longer available. The document that
is being referenced is no longer in a shared drive. Could the copy paste
function be calling this sheet. The dialog box says Update Varible: name of
the spreadsheed.xls

Thanks

Any chance that they're pasting formulas that point at that non-existing
workbook?

If yes, then that would be a problem.

Until I can find a copy or someone who knows what the original workbook was
for or where it was located then I have no idea. At this point they are just
copying and pasting a row from the workbook they are working in. Once they
click on paste the dialog box opens and then they click cancel to close the
dialog box and they are able to paste the row. Copying and pasting a single
cell does not produce the dialog box. Is it possible that the formulas were
created on the non-existant workbook and now that the workbook has been moved
or deleted that this is the issue? Creating a new workbook with the name of
the missing one didn't fix the issue. I am now just trying to figure out away
to get the dialog box from popping up.

Thanks

You may want to spend some time trying to duplicate the results that the users
get. I would think that it would make diagnosing the problem much easier.
