Copy and paste question

I recall someone showing me how he could copy and paste a word or words and
have the items he copied and pasted remain off to the right of the word
document so he could click on the one he wanted and it would paste them
directly into the document where he had the blinking cursor. I can't recall
how he did that. Any help would be appreciated.

Hold down the Ctrl key and press the C button twice. That brings up the
clipboard pane on the right and what was copied shows.
