Copy and Paste

I have two workbooks. Each workbook has different
worksheets in each. However there is a worksheet in one
workbook I need to copy into the other workbook.

Here's the problem, I mark all the necessary data in
workbook one and do a copy. I opened up workbook two and
inserted a new worksheet. Then pasted the worksheet from
the originating workbook. When I look at all my formulas,
it links the two together. How do I paste the necessary
worksheet from one workbook to another without it linking
the two together?

Note: I have tried special paste with no sucess. What am
i doing wrong?

do not copy and paste

open both books
right click on the tab of the sheet you need to copy
click on move or copy
select the book to copy to
select where in the book
tick the "create a copy" option at the bottom.
