Boy did they SCREW UP the copy paste
in the new office
if you try to copy every third row in excel
then paste to notepad
you get everything between the first row to the last row
picked

That's the way xl2002 works, too.

(I don't recall how xl97/xl2k behave.)

But maybe you could hide the rows in between--manually or via autofilter and
then copy those visible cells.

If your discontiguous range is created via data|subtotals, select your range
with the details hidden, then Edit|Goto|Special and check Visible cells.

Copy and then paste.
