I want to import one of my existing web pages to Pulisher 2003. Then I want
to edit it and use it a a new web page for another product. So far I have
been able to copy the page to Publisher .... but have not been able to open
the file for editing .... the file I want to import was designed with an html
code program like Dreammaker. Is there a way to do this or do I have to buy a
web design program????

First of all Publisher is not an html editor. You cannot edit another
website, or even the html produced from Publisher...not directly, anyway.
Publisher websites are "built" and edited in the original Publisher file. If
you want to change something on your site, you make the changes in the
Publisher file, Publish to the Web, and upload the new, edited html files to
your host.

Your best course of action is to edit a page that has been created in
Dreamweaver, with Dreamweaver. The next best might be to try another html
editor such as FrontPage, or the new Web Expression. You might be able to
import the page in Nvu, which is free: http://www.nvu.com/index.php

A very distant solution might be importing the page in Pub 2003, but chances
are you would be better off building the page from scratch. The code used by
Publisher, DreamWeaver, FrontPage, etc are all very different. Reference the
following link, and read the last part of the article which describes a way
of rebuilding a Publisher file from a Publisher webpage. Might work...but
probably a poor solution for what you seem to want to do.
