copy formula - reference

I have the following formula which I want to copy:
=LEFT('New Template'!B4,2)

Let´s say this formula is in cell A1, I want to copy this formula to A3, A5,
A7, and the reference cell should only increase by 1. E.g. in cell A3, the
formula should be =LEFT('New Template'!B5,2) and in cell A5: =LEFT('New
Template'!B6,2) etc.

I have tried everything to copy this at once, but I am not able to find it.
Absolute references don´t work either, because it isn´t fixed.
Anyone some ideas? Thanks!

Hi Frank,

Thanks very much for your quick response! It seems to work....I wouldn´t
have been able to figure this out myself. I now know some more functions in
Excel!
