copy from excel to word 2002

I am tring to copy data from excel to a word table,
however instead of the data lining up into the table
tike this
2892
2893
2894 etc..

The data pushes the table downwards and line up below the
frist line of the table but between the second line.


please advise.

Instead of pasting into a single cell, you need to select the same number
of cells in the target table that you're copying from the source. Then
when you paste, you'll get one value per table entry.
