Copy & Insert slides from another file doesn't save text direction

Hello !

I'm trying to copy and past some slides from a source ppt (2003) file to a
new presentation in 2007.
The problem is that when I'm pasting it completely messes up my text
direction (right-to-left TO left-to-right).
I don't have that "speciel paste" option coming up, but I don't want to use
it in the first place. I just want to copy and paste.

Is that too much to ask for ?

You're pasting whole slides, not just text, right? If so, I've seen this
issue, but I don't have a fix for you, sorry.

Some people seem to get good results using copy/paste, while for others,
using the Reuse Slides pane and choosing Keep Source Formatting works
instead. (In my case, neither would do it. I had to do my combining in PPT
2003.)

Another thing that's been suggested is to change the settings for your
default manual textbox. So go to Insert | Shape and choose the textbox,
click on the slide and type a word or two. Format it as you wish, then
right-click and choose Set as Default Textbox. In your case, I wonder if the
different direction is caused by the language settings. If you select a
manual textbox and go to the Review tab and click Language, what's selected
there in both the source file and in the new target file?

I can't repro the problem from scratch, so I've not been able to report it
to Microsoft. If you have a couple of sample slides (from the new target
presentation and the source file) you want to email to echos at indy dot
net, I'd love to see them.
