copy old archived mail from one hard drive to new drive

When I try to copy my old archived files from an external hard drive from
Outlook 2003 to new outlook in 2007 I go to file, open, outlook data file,
then I go to my external hard drive to to the old pst file and when I pick
one I get a message that says
File access mis denied. You do not have the permission required to acccess
the file K:\Archivesarchive2003 May-Dec.pst.
I need help- so that I can look and review my oold emails on my new computer.

Copy from external to Documents folder on PC
Then within Outlook open the data file

Check to see if it's read-only. If that's not the problem, take ownership
of it.
