Copy picture

hi... got a really annoying problem with using "copy
picture".

I am trying to copy my Gantt Chart into GIF image file!

The error message I get, for hundreds times now, is:

unable to create c:\...\...gif. The graphics conversion
filter encountered an error. Try one of the following:

- Reduce the date range of the selection using the From
and To dates.
- Check that the path to the file is correct.
- Check your network connections.
- Free up available memory by closing projects, progrmas,
or windows you aren't using.
- FRee up some disk space on your computer.

Firstly, i chose the whole timescale of 7 months of my
project.
Secondly, the path is fine.
Thirdly, network connections are fine too (don't know
what is got to do with my prob.. but they are fine anyway)
Fourthly, the MS project is only one open and running.
Fifthly, i've got more than 6 GB on my local disk...

Moreover, the tasks are only 10 rows that i am trying to
copy.

nothing seems to work.. what should I do?
help please..

Hi Janett,
I am trying to copy my Gantt Chart into GIF image file!

The error message I get, for hundreds times now, is:

unable to create c:\...\...gif. The graphics conversion
filter encountered an error. Try one of the following:

Perhaps only the timescale of your gantt is too large. In Project, use
zoom-out-button and scale it to months.
Or you have not marked the 10 tasks you want to copy and project uses your
whole plan. In this case, highlight the 10 tasks, goto copy picture and
select the option 'seleceted tasks only'.

hint:
Try to use option 'for monitor' instead. That will copy the Gantt to
clipboard. Then open Word or Powerpoint and use CTRL + V to insert the
picture. There you can see the result.
regards
Sascha
