Copy Shape from document to document

Hi NG

I have a word document with Header and Footer.

I have in Header 2 shapes and in Footer 1 shape.

Is there a way to copy shapes in Header and Footer to other documents (one
by one) and place them in same position?

One possibility is creating AutoText entries (or header and footer Building Blocks, depending on your version of Word) that store those shapes. Then you can insert the entries in the relevant documents. I'm sure the insertion process could be automated in a macro.

Hi Stefan

Thanks for reply.

I'm using Word 2007 DK.

Do you by any chance have a link for a sample?

Well, there is a macro (at http://word.mvps.org) that exemplifies how to process all files in a folder. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm. It should be possible to modify the code so that it inserts a Building Block into each file. If you are asking for a ready-made solution, I don't have that, no.
