i am scanned an original document but i want to send it via email as a copy.
i want it to show the document to print a stamped "COPY on top of the
document when they print it so whoever receives it cannot forge the document.

You scanned it? meaning...it's an image, or did you OCR it?

If it's a Word document, you could put in a watermark by including a pale
WordArt word "COPY" in the header of the document, and then protect the
document for revisions. But what DL says is correct: Acrobat does this very
elegantly.

If you want specific steps, post back with what version of Word (or whatever
program) you are using.

I suspect what you want is to only see "Copy" when the document is printed
and not see it on the screen when viewing the document. This can be
accomplished by using a Print field. However, before you start investigating
the use of Print fields, there is no way to truly protect a document and
disable the ability to simply delete the Print field which would remove
"Copy" when printing.
