How are you copying the file?

Is the PPT file closed? How about PPT itself?

How about if you create a folder on your C drive and try to paste your file
into that instead of trying to paste to the C drive proper?

I open up PPt and I open to my PPT file so I can see it I go to file ,package
for cd and copy to file and that is when I get the error. Is this the correct
way to save.

When I save the PPT by the save button I can copy to the CD but it will not
play on start. I have to click it first.I want the PPT to start as soon as I
put the CD in the drive. Can thi be done.

Ah. That helps a bit.

You want to save your file before you do the Package for CD. So first do a
File/Save or File/Save As and save your PPT file.

It should still be open in PPT, but if it's not, go ahead and open it using
File/Open. Then use File/Package for CD and choose Copy to Folder.

Make sure there's a name for the CD in that dialog box.

If you want that folder to be created on the C drive, you should use C:\
_not_ C:/ Be aware that the Flash object will cause you to recieve a
warning message -- "One or more of your presentations contain macros, linked
programs, linked objects, or embedded objects. They will not work in the
PowerPoint Viewer. Do you want to continue?" So know that your Flash (SWF)
file won't play in PPT on the CD.

Here is some additional information on creating autorun CDs. (These methods
still won't play the Flash files in PPT, though, as the PPT Viewers don't
support Active X controls.) Make an AutoRun CD
