Copying a powerpoint slide into word

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Since I loaded Snow Leopard 2 weeks ago I am having a problem copying individual slides from Power Point into Word.
When I try to paste the powerpoint slide into Word I receive this message:

" there is insufficient memory available. Save the document now."

The slide does copy into Word but it is blurred
Can anyone help!!?
