Copying a sheet with namd references

M

Michael

I would like to copy one sheet (the original) with many named
references into another, but make the references local to the new
copy.

The refences include intermediary values that should be local to where
the calculation is done

When I copy the sheet in the same workbook now, the references in the
new one point to the original sheet, which messes up my results

How do I copy correctly?

Thanks

Michael

When you copy an entire sheet (by Ctrl-Drag its tab or by right-clicking tab
and picking Move or Copy), which is what you seem to be saying, you get
duplicate names on the new sheet. The duplicate names are "local" to the
new sheet. You can see they are local because when you open the Define Name
dialog on the new sheet you see the sheet name on the right side of the list
box. Are you not seeing this?
