copying and saving to cd

need help! when i copy or save to cd it leaves all the
files as read-only and then it wont let me change the

Are you trying to change the attributes of the files *on the CD* by any
chance?

Hi Josie,

You are describing normal behavior when using a CD. A CD-Rom is
read-only media and the read-only file attribute is automatically
applied.

Copy the files to your local drive, change the file attribute, modify
the files, copy them back after they are closed.
