copying chart

Excel 2008, Leopard .6, Intel MBP. I have a simple scatter chart. I
have added title, x axis title, y axis title, deleted the legend. If
I select the chart, then use command-C, the window goes away then
comes back, and the legend is added back.

I'm not seeing this happen here. Is your Office 2008 fully updated? 12.1.5
is the current level. What else can you offer?... Available RAM, running
Spaces, file format???

I have 4GB ram. I just rebooted and same thing happens. I have
Spaces turned on but hardly use the second space. This happened even
before I saved the file, it happens after it was saved, .xlsx, and
rebooted. I just stopped spaces, restarted Excel, and the same thing
happens. The file is only 48K and I can send that, or some log file
you recommend.

Try copying the data to a new workbook file, recreate the chart there & see
if the problem follows you.

I did copy the data to a new sheet, made new plot, and the same thing
happens. I moved the file to a collegue's MBP (same model as mine)
and it doesn't show the problem. So it must be some sort of
environment problem.
