Firstly Hi there folks...complete newbie to Excel here and in desperat
need of help in many matters...!!!
My biggest headache so far is trying to handle my data betwee
Workbooks...
The scenario:
End of everyday I have a worksheet mailed over containing all th
details of deals that have been processed etc...
Alot of the data is the same day-2-day : Rep Name, Builder Name
etc...
Now I have a number of reps that I keep track of deals for in my are
alone, what I have been doing is opening the worksheet i receive ever
night and copying only the relevant entries (By rep name) and the
pasting into my Workbook.
I then have to delete all the entries that match exactly (duplicate
however sometimes the info differs slightly and must be recognized as
unique entry!?) by this i mean a deal has been processed and the
assigned a unique DID (Dealer ID).
Each Rep is assigned a colour (that is the back colour of the cells i
that row) I have to manually format each one in turn after checking th
data in each.
What I would love is a way to automate this work if possible, a way t
import the data from the daily worksheet into my workbook and the
check and erase any duplicate entries...
I could still assign a colour manually but having the copy/pasting an
deleting duplicates automated would be ideal...?
