copying data column based on a formula result

In excel 2000, I'm trying to copy a column of data to another column if a
specific formula result occurs in a different cell.

Such as:
If A3 = 6
copy B1:B20 to E10:E30

Can this be done with some worksheet function (i.e IF)?
Or
I have a macro to do the copying as I need it, but I can't figure out how to
start the macro based on the formula result. Is there any way to do that.

in E10:

=if($a$6=6,$b1,"")

copied as far as E30.
