Copying emails from one Outlook 2003 to another

Hello all,

This is probably an easy question for someone to answer and I'll try to make
as much sense as I can in the question.

I just started using Outlook 2003 on my home pc and my laptop. I often like
to check my email from work on my laptop. Problem is now I have some emails
on my laptop and others on my home pc. I'd like to take the emails from my
laptop and import them into my outlook on a daily or weekly basis.

Can this be done? If so will it over write the files/emails already on my
home pc?

Do I just create a .pst file on my laptop, take it home and import the .pst
file? Will I incur any problems while doing this? Will the emails in my
Inbox on my laptop show up in the Inbox on my desktop along with the others
already on my desktop?

Any help appreciated,

Paul

Are all Outlook versions involved 2003 or are there earlier versions as
well?

Okay - that makes it easy.

Rather than importing (bad idea - importing loses important data
consistently), I would copy one .pst file to a USB stick. Pick one or the
other, it makes no difference. On the other machine - I would use Outlook
File->Open->Outlook Data file and navigate to the USB stick and open that
..pst file as an additional .pst file. When you have it open, copy the
changed items to your default .pst file. Then close it.

By the way, importing/exporting is never the way to merge .pst files - it
loses connections between contacts and calendar, activities, custom forms,
etc.
