Copying formulas

Hi

Does anyone know how to copy formulas into those little
boxes for such things like conditional formatting or
definning a name?

Sometimes I have long complex formulas for cf that I work
out in a cell first, then I would like to be able to
select the formula and copy it into that teeny tiny little
box. Same thing for the defined names.

click on the cell to get the fornmula on the tool bar, and highlight it
copy (cntl c) and paste it into the appropriate locatio

works 4 me....highlight the formula in the toolbar and hit cntl c. g
to cell that you want to format, hit esc and the selce format
conditional formatting and select the formula option, and then paste i
the formula cntl

It works, but what he is talking about is selecting the cell, pressing F2 to
get into Edit mode, then drag the mouse over the entire formula in the FORMULA
BAR, up near the top of the screen. Press CTRL+C to copy what you have
selected. Then get into your conditional formatting, select Formula Is from
the first drop-down, then press CTRL+V to paste the formula into the formula
box there.
