Copying Hyperlinks

Help.

I have one spreadsheet containing part numbers in column A and hyperlinks in
column B (which links to their corresponding datasheet on a network drive). I
have a seperate spreadsheet where i am trying to pull across the
corresponding hyperlink using a Vlookup formula on the part numbers. This
works fine, however it only pulls across the text and the hyperlink
disappears, any suggestions?
Hair pulling out time!!

=hyperlink(ref) where ref is your vlookup

Tried that no joy....
FYI here is my formula

=HYPERLINK(VLOOKUP(A12788,'O:\ADMIN\[CSR
Register.xls]Sheet1'!$1:$65536,6,FALSE))
