Copying Tables from Word

Does anyone know how to copy a landscape table from Word into
PowerPoint?

I have a table with all kinds of formatting in Microsoft Word that I
want to past into PowerPoint. I want it to look exactly in PowerPoint
as it does in Word. I prefer it in PowerPoint with editable text, but
it's ok if it's a picture object.

The table is in a landscape orientation word document.

If I do a simple copy and paste into Powerpoint, I get a mess. If I
paste as a picture, it comes out as a table in the narrower portrait
orientation with the text messed up.

In previous versions of Word there was a "Copy as Picture" command or
a camera button that copied a picture of the table or text exactly as
it apperead in Word. I can no longer find either. Has Word been
"enhanced" to remove those features?

I'm using a dual 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 with 1GB DDR SDRAM, system OS X
10.3.4. and Microsoft Word X for Mac service Release 1.

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

This is one of those times that CUT and COPY work differently.

In Word, use Table>Select Table
Edit > Cut (puts the table onto the clipboard)
Edit > Undo (puts the table back into Word without removing it from the
clipboard)
Switch to PowerPoint
Edit > Paste Special > Picture
