Copying tabs from one section for use in another?

My Word 2007 doc is set for 2 columns, then one column, then 2 columns. How
do I copy the ruler setting in order to paste & apply it to the next set of 2
columns?
Didn't it used to be simple--like control/SHIFT/C--instead of simply
control/C?

Tab settings are an attribute of the paragraph format. Therefore you need
to copy a paragraph that contains the tab settings that you want and paste
it into the part of the doucment where you want to have that format.
