Copying views and tables

Hi,

I am using MSP 2002 professional. How would you handle
the following scenario? I create a view that will be in
10 different files. I send these 10 files to people for
updating, when they all start changing the view, all files
will be different. When I was using MS Project 2000, I
remember that if I changed the entry table (for example),
all files that I would open after that would have the
entry table would be modified. Now however, they do not,
unless I physically copy the table through the organizer
from my global.mpt to the file. Is this something that
was changed in MSP2002? Help anyone? (keep in mind that
we are not yet using the server aspect of the tool).
Thanks!

You will need to use Project Server to accomplish what you wish to do. In
your environment, the Project Server administrator would need to create a
custom enterprise View with a custom enterprise Table for all uers in the
Enterprise Global file. Once the Enterprise Global is saved and closed, the
new View and Table would be available to every user of Project Server each
time they log into the system. They can change the custom View or the
custom Table any way they wish, but each time they log back into Project
Server, the custom enterprise View will revert to its original form, as will
the custom enterprise Table. It sounds like it is time to "ramp up" to the
full use of your company's Project Server environment. Hope this helps.
