Correction to MS Office Visio Help

L

Lynn Sabin

On the "Add or reposition text on a connector" help screen, the following
text appears:

"Note If the connector does not have a control handle, you can still
reposition its text using the Text Rotation tool , just as you would on any
other shape. Click the Text Rotation tool, click the shape, and then drag the
double rectangle that appears when the pointer is over the text in the text
block."

The term TEXT ROTATION TOOL is incorrect. In Visio 2003, this is referred to
as TEXT BLOCK TOOL.

I understand this is a small distinction, but it confused me for a moment,
and I'm a Visio power user.

Good catch. Visio used to have both a Text Rotation tool and a Text Block
tool. In Visio 2003 the Text Rotation tool was eliminated in favor of a
text rotation handle that appears on every selected shape. You still use
the Text Block tool to move text relative to its shape container.
