Hi,
I am wondering if Outlook Express creates correctly the
Message Disposal Notifications.
When Outlook Express receives a message for which a Reply
is Requested, it pops up with a window saying "The message
sender has requested a response to indicate that you have
read this message. Would you like to send a receipt ?"
Answering yes creates, first locally, a MDN to be sent to
originator of the message. There is an attachement with
this MDN which has the following content :
"Final-Recipient: rfc822;[email protected]
Original-Message-ID: <Law10-
(e-mail address removed)>
Disposition: manual-action/MDN-sent-manually; displayed".
I think this content is wrong. On the line "Final-
Recipient:", we should find the email address of the
recipient of the message and not the email address of the
one who has sent the original message.
My message was going from (e-mail address removed) to
(e-mail address removed). The MDN is going from
(e-mail address removed) to (e-mail address removed).
By the way, the line "Final-Recipient:" should look "Final-
Recipient: rfc822;[email protected]".
We think Netscape works well and not outlook express.
Maybe newer versions are working better.
Please comment
