My (usually) trusty Word 97 has just decided to screw up a .doc I was
working on. I is encrypted with Words built in facility.
Now, each time I start Word to open the file, Word freezes. Every
time. It's fine with other .docs
Is there a way I can recover this file? I do have a backup but did
many changes (saving each one as I went). But of course I managed to
save the corrupt one.
I see there are tools available that may do this but they are quite
expensive - does anyone know of a freewear one
If not I'll just have to re-edit the backup.
