Corrupt header/footer

I am using a small network with SBS 2003 Server and
Windows XP workstations and Office 2003. I'm having
problem with Word headers and footers on all workstations.
When inserting any auto text I get junk, i.e.
Chinese/Japanese characters, carriage returns etc. I have
run repair on Office and then reinstall without success.
Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem?

Have you checked the source of your AutoText. Since you said header/footer
in your subject line even though this is about AutoText, I suspect you are
inserting your AutoText using the h/f toolbar. In that case, the entries are
almost certainly in your normal.dot template. Are you sharing normal.dot
among workstations? (This is a _bad_ idea.)
