Corrupt slide

I've got a long ppt presentation with many backgrounds. Apparently a
jpg is orrupted on slide 10.

Just selecting slide 10 cause ppt to crash (OS X/Panther and Jaguar)
Updates installed.

Any ideas on how to just delete one slide or rebuild th efile (a la
Entourage)

Jay,

I'm on a PC system here...but the principle is the same to rebuild a
presentation

Create a new blank presentation,

Then Insert menu
choose "slides from file"

then you can pick and choose what slides to import.
