How many users do you have and how much activity do they create?

Is the database split with a front-end on each user's PC? Is the backend on
a networked drive? Is that connection reliable and fast?

Are you running this over a network of some kind?

Do you or your users close the application improperly?

Lots of possibilities.

How many users do you have and how much activity do they create? at most
there are 10 users.. but the activity is on the low end

a shared network that the users access

*** If all your users are accessing the same file, then you are liekly to
encounter problems. You should SPLIT the database and give each user their
own front-end containing the forms, queries, and reports on their PC. This
should link to the back-end containing your tables on your server.

Are you using a wireless network? Access doesn't like wireless...
