I have attempted to create a registration form on word
several times. The form reads like a questionnaire and
hence has many areas that need a symbol (such as a hollow
circle or square) to be checked. After I enter about 20 or
so symbols, the file automatically corrupts. THe font
changes and the symbols change to parentheses. It is not
the normal.dot template. My helpdesk at the college
investigated and apparently it is a problem that Microsoft
is aware of but does not know how to fix (C'mon, Bill.).
My question - does anyone know of a way around this or
have any suggestions of how i can use several copies of
the same symbol without corrupting my file? I am about to
switch to Mac after all this...ARGH. Thanks in advance.
