Corrupted File

A project was corrupted due to a problem with a client and
data was lost (no longer in the database). What's weird
is in the PWA, plan shows ALL the data but when it's
opened in MS Project, data is gone. Where is the PWA
getting its data from? Our consultants and MS are all
puzzled!

Hi,

In your program folder there should be a srvdb.htm file (or very similar
name). It describes all tables in Project Server. MSP_ tables hold all the
data you see in MS Project. MSP_WEB Tables hold the data seen in PWA. So,
you could lose the data for Project, but still see it in PWA.

FYI there are also MSP_CUBE tables. They are filled by using SQL Server
Analysis Services to build a cube. Last set of tables is MSP_VIEW which has
read only data filled when a project is published. These tables are in a
format that is useful for creating reports.
