corrupted Inbox in Outlook 2007

I am getting a message when I try to move/delete emails in the personal
folders. The message suggests that I should run scanpst.exe, however, it
asks for the file which I cannot locate. A search for *.pst files or
outlook.pst gives nothing in return. I am able to open, print, receive
emails as before but cannot delete or move messages as previously. I also
tried to locate the *.ost files which i cannot find either. Any suggestions
for resolving the problem would be helpful

You can use the Control Panel's 'Mail' applet to get the location and
name of the Outlook files.

Before using Search, make 'Hidden Files' visible; otherwise they won't
be shown.
